Description
Edo Period, Bunsei Era (1818-1830) Maki-e Lacquerware

As expected of Edo period artisans, delicate maki-e of elegant flowing water and chrysanthemums are depicted.

This item carries the fragrance of the vibrant Edo culture from over 200 years ago.
?
The wood is thinly crafted, and the vermilion lacquer shines vividly.

While it may be considered impolite to mention for antique maki-e, I must report two instances of lacquer cracking on the medium-sized cup. Please understand that this is an antique item. Otherwise, the condition is good. A must-have for your collection!
Sizes: Large 11.5x2.5 cm, Medium 10.5x2.2 cm, Small 9.5x1.8 cm
