If the size is right, they can enjoy it for over a month.

For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Since we do not hollow out the wood, peel the bark, or shave it, many customers have told us how much they appreciate the difference in hardness and how much their pets engage with our toys compared to others!

We've made a set of two, one pearwood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Left: Zelkova, approx. 15.7 x 1.5-1.7 cm

Approx. 1.9 cm including small branches

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size to your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the teething stage, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a slightly thicker branch that they can just barely hold will provide longer enjoyment.

Pearwood branches are less likely to have splinters, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The bark is peeled one by one from pearwood branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.
*Measured with a moisture meter, moisture content is approximately 0%.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file), but please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.

Since they are made of wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouths. However, please supervise your pet while they play.

Please refrain from purchasing if your pet has fruit allergies.
