I purchased this to match a yukata, and it was described as an unlined obi that can also be used for summer kimonos.
However, both ends of the obi are cut raw and unfinished, similar to a yukata obi. There are no noticeable frays, but please refrain from purchasing if this is a concern for you.

This is a sheer fabric, so it is recommended for summer, suitable for July and August.
