D021 SUZUKI Mandolin No.203 Suzuki String Instrument with Case
This is the No.203 mandolin made by Suzuki Violin (Nagoya), a string instrument manufacturer that Japan is proud of worldwide.
It is believed to be a vintage item manufactured around the 1960s-1970s.
It features a distinctive rounded bowl-back shape and is an instrument with a delicate yet brilliant tone. The pickguard is adorned with beautiful mother-of-pearl inlay, making it a highly elaborate piece as a work of art.
[Condition]
- Exterior: There are fine surface cracks (weather checking) and scuffs due to age, as well as dullness on the metal parts. We believe this is within a range that can be enjoyed as a characteristic of vintage items.
- Neck: Visually, it is generally straight.
- Accessories: Comes with a hard case with a vibrant blue interior, believed to be from the same era. The exterior of the case has some damage, but it does not affect storage or transport.
As this is an old instrument, we recommend replacing the strings and performing maintenance before serious playing. This is an ideal item for display as an antique or for those who want to enjoy the sound of Japan Vintage.
Please check the photos before purchasing. We look forward to hearing from those who understand vintage instruments.
