Stay With Me depicts the reunion of a mother who had no choice but to abandon her child to start anew, and her daughter, who was abandoned by her mother and lives bravely despite her emotional scars. Seon-i (Choi Myung-gil) gave birth to two children in her youth. Unable to resist the pressure from her mother, who despised her good-for-nothing husband, Seon-i abandons her children and goes through with an arranged marriage. Eun-ju (Lee Yoon-ji), abandoned by her birth mother, continues to dream of becoming a nurse despite growing up in harsh circumstances. However, just as her mother abandoned her, her long-time Lovers, Yoon-seop (Kim Jeong-wook), also abandons Eun-ju. With her heart closed off by her pain, she meets her mother, who is living happily, unaware of her daughter's misfortune. Meanwhile, Eun-ju meets Dong-geon (Park Sang-min), a man who always watches over her warmly. She struggles between her feelings of forgiveness for her mother, who sought happiness as a woman, and her desire to question her mother for not fulfilling her responsibilities as a parent.
