What is NIPPON GAKKI...
It is the former name of Yamaha Corporation.
On the occasion of its 100th anniversary in 1987, the company changed its name to the current Yamaha Corporation.

◎This piccolo appears to have been purchased in 1987 (Showa 62)♪

I believe it is rare to have both the YAMAHA and NIPPON GAKKI names engraved on it.
