Description
Due to price negotiations, the price has been temporarily reduced. The price will be restored if the item does not sell.

This is a cornet from Conn, a leading American wind instrument manufacturer.
The serial number is in the 280,000 range, and it is estimated to have been manufactured in 1932.

The model is 26A Director, a model name later used for a more affordable model. However, as you can see in the images, it features a satin silver finish, gold plating on the inside of the bell (though faded), uniquely shaped bracing, and a bell tuning system. These luxurious and costly specifications are worthy of being called Art Deco specifications.

The bore is 2-1/2, Conn's large bore, measuring .484 inches, which is considered very thick by today's standards.

The tubing has a very charming wrap, and personally, it's one of my favorite designs for a Conn cornet.

As expected of an instrument that has been around for nearly 100 years, there are signs of wear in various places, but it is in a condition that suggests it has been well cared for.

The plating on the piston surfaces is beginning to show wear, but I did not experience any sticking when I played it.

Maintenance was performed using Trombacare oil and grease.

Whether due to a well-balanced taper or other factors, it has an unparalleled light and easy playability.

This listing is for the instrument only.

For a modern mouthpiece, options like the Marc Curry VC series or the Bob Reeves MS model would be suitable, but if you have the chance, please try a vintage mouthpiece from the same era.

This is a rare model with luxurious specifications, produced for only 10 years. I am selling it to fund the purchase of an instrument I desperately want.

While significant price reductions may be difficult, I am open to price negotiations with those who find this instrument appealing.
Please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your consideration.
