Kuroboshi turns black (black-purple) as the anthocyanins in its leaves increase with plenty of sunlight and a dry environment. During its growth periods in spring and autumn, place it in a location with good sunlight and ventilation, and water after the soil has dried to enjoy its beautiful jet-black leaves.

If it lacks sunlight or is exposed to too much cold, the black color will fade and turn green.
