About Yixing Zisha Teapots
Zisha refers to a special type of clay found only in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, China. Zisha is classified into several types based on its burial location and firing color. In general, it has high plasticity, allowing for beautiful shapes not only in the overall form but also in intricate details.
[Features]
1. Absorbs impurities and enhances the taste of tea. Red clay teapots are said to suppress bitterness and mellow the taste of tea through the reaction of iron oxide and tannins.
2. High heat retention, so the teapot is not hot to the touch even when filled with hot water.
3. Develops character with use. There is a term called Yong Hu (pot nurturing), where the surface develops a unique luster and becomes beautiful with long-term use. The interior also absorbs tea components, enhancing the tea's aroma.
4. Suitable for brewing ripe Pu-erh tea, Oolong tea, white tea, black tea, etc.
Ideal for Chinese teas such as Oolong tea, Tieguanyin, Pu-erh tea, white tea, black tea, Wuyi rock tea, black tea, Taiwanese tea, high mountain tea, etc.
