This is a Japanese silverleaf (Tsuwabuki).
It thrives in partial shade under well-fertilized trees. It grows by thickening its roots and dividing. It likely also reproduces by seed.
Japanese silverleaf is useful to have. When applied as a compress to bruises or swellings, it is more effective than commercial plasters.
For bruises, this is the remedy.
Remove the leaf, wash it thoroughly to remove fine hairs, wipe off moisture, and then lightly roast it. Apply the shiny green side to the affected area and tape it in place. It will dry out completely, so replace it as needed.

I will send you two small seedlings like the ones in the image, or one larger seedling.
The leaves will be cut and sent.
As a bonus, I have many cottony seed heads right now, so I will include those as well. Please try sowing them in the spring.
