Both the previous owner and I used it for small freshwater aquariums. Before listing it, I flushed the interior with running tap water.
The interior was not very dirty, so I believe it did not put much strain on the cooler.
It has both cooling and heating functions, making it very convenient, and it is of course in good working order.
