Convenient for centering and trimming the base. Recommended for beginners and experienced potters alike. Tightens with a right-hand turn.
* I also used it for high-speed trimming of the base with a left-hand rotation, but it locked securely and trimmed without shifting.
However, since it is a tool that tightens with a right-hand turn, I cannot guarantee its performance if you apply strong force for extended periods, so please use your own judgment.
This product is very convenient because the fixation to the potter's wheel on the back can be tightened by rotating it. *Previously, manual adjustment with individual adjusters and a screwdriver was necessary. The upper part that secures the pottery also tightens with a right-hand turn, making it even more one-touch and easier to attach. I used this on a Raku Raku Type 2 696 electric potter's wheel. The size is slightly smaller and does not interfere with the dedicated drip tray, so it can be attached without removing the drip tray! See photos. *
This double-sided type is more versatile than Shinpo Kogyo's conventional models and is extremely useful. This is my personal impression after using both.
The larger rubber contact parts are also a good feature.
