* Glass can break due to tensile stress. To prolong the life of glass products, including heat-resistant glass, it is crucial to avoid scratching them by not hitting them with metal objects, not bumping them against hard materials like ceramics, and not scrubbing them with abrasive sponges.
* Most materials, including glass, expand when heated and contract when cooled. Thermal breakage usually occurs due to rapid cooling or heating. Heat-resistant glass has very small expansion and contraction rates, which minimizes stress caused by these changes, making it more resistant to heat.
* When glass breaks, it always originates from a scratch on the tensile stress side. The deeper the scratch, the less stress is required for breakage. Scratches can grow deeper with repeated use, reducing the glass's strength.
