This is pumice that has been washed, dried, and then fired at high temperatures.

It is sterile, offers excellent drainage and aeration, retains moisture, and is very hard and resistant to crumbling, making it ideal for mixing with other soil components.

Large-sized particles are used as drainage material at the bottom of pots.

Its high drainage and aeration, along with its extreme hardness, make it suitable for use in soil mixes for succulents such as Haworthia, Agave, and cacti.

When growing succulents, the most common mistakes leading to root rot are overwatering or using soil with poor drainage and aeration. To ensure healthy growth, we recommend mixing in soil like this.

It is also often used as a decorative top dressing on potted plants to improve their appearance.
