This item is too thin to be used as a firewood splitting block and lacks strength.
It has a substantial feel with the bark on, and is beautiful without the bark. Its uses vary from person to person.

[Our Commitment]
- Free from petroleum-based oils such as chainsaw oil, preservatives, and insecticides, making it safe for use as a cutting board.
- Items are stored indoors after completion. As a precaution, before shipping, we sterilize them in a high-temperature dryer for approximately 1 hour and reapply a safe oil wax (secret: edible) to both sides.
- We use a horizontal laser for precise, level cuts. Any warping during the drying process is adjusted through planing and polishing.
- We utilize a smoke heat drying system (smoked processing).
- We have developed a unique method to prevent cracking, making it highly resistant to splitting. Furthermore, it is safe as it does not use petroleum waxes.

As a former carpenter and lumber dealer, I must inform you:
Many firewood splitting blocks with beautiful cross-sections will crack within days.
Unseasoned wood has the weakest strength and is a cause of mold.
Drying and cracking are inevitable with natural wood. However, we strive to create firewood splitting blocks with minimal cracking through careful drying. It takes 2-3 years to bring these to market, with over half being discarded (as firewood) due to cracking.

[Production Process]
All handmade (2-3 years)
Fallen tree → Leaf wilting (1-2 years) → Round cut → Submerged drying → Boiling → Shaping → Smoke heat drying → (Washing & Polishing) → Drying & Inspection (We measure the moisture content of our firewood splitting blocks with a high-precision moisture meter)
We borrow a smoke heat drying kiln from a lumber dealer acquaintance, so we cannot produce in large quantities. It's similar to the process of making katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) or how the smoke and heat from a hearth in old thatched-roof houses strengthened the pillars.
