Released in 1971, the Takumar series is arguably the most representative of vintage lenses. When shot wide open, it produces a soft bokeh and natural colors that evoke a Showa-era aesthetic, unlike modern lenses. This SMC Takumar was the world's first to feature multi-layer coating, making it easier for beginners to control flare and ghosting that can occur in backlight. However, it still delivers the spectacular, dreamlike images seen in the examples, which are far beyond what typical lenses can achieve.

Furthermore, by intentionally capturing backlight, you can achieve the rainbow-colored circle ghost seen in the examples at specific angles, and enjoy a soft, contrast-reduced flare effect across the image. This is akin to drifting in a car – a shooting technique unique to vintage lenses where you intentionally exploit the lens's characteristics, ignoring the manufacturer's efforts to prevent such effects. (For mirrorless cameras, please be careful not to point the lens directly at the sun for extended periods.)

Additionally, I've included a mount adapter that I sell on Mercari Shops, specifically for SONY E-mount. It has minor scratches but is fully functional.
