It's a mid-class rod compatible with PE lines #6-8, capable of not only pinpoint lure casting but also operating small-diameter diving poppers and diving pencils in situations requiring invitation techniques.
To reduce physical strain during frequent invitation casts, the blank is designed to be lightweight. You'll experience the evolution of the BIG-TUNA series through its lightness and excellent balance in hand.
Furthermore, by placing the bending point closer to the handle, this rod allows you to harness its butt power with unprecedented ease during a fight.

■ Comparison of static load: BIG TUNA 85F & BIG TUNA 83 with 6kg load
The 83, positioned as a mid-class rod, is recommended for PE #8, but it also pairs exceptionally well with PE #6 for situations requiring long casts with lighter lures, such as the sardine pattern.
In this bending comparison, a 6kg load is applied assuming PE #6 is used for both the 85F (light class) and the 83.
Both models have reduced tension in the belly, so after a hook-up, they don't feel stiff despite their long length, allowing for comfortable posture adjustment.
