The neck is made of Southern-grown kuroki, likely kamagon.
It has a beautiful grain with a sunchi finish.
Neck weight: 435g (excluding tuning pegs, neck and mouthpiece only).
There is an inscription 09 on the core, suggesting it was made in 2009.

The curved chest, the shape of the head, the underside of the nails, etc.
It is beautifully crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
The tone is mid-high.
It resonates very well with a good balance from low to high notes.
The skin is single-layered genuine leather, properly stretched.
There is one repair on the front and several repairs on the back (in addition to those indicated by arrows).
The front skin is still tightly stretched on the uma (horse) part, allowing for excellent sound projection and a pleasant resonance.

The chiga (body) is from Chiga no Momohara, which is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.
There are minor scratches from use, but no major damage.
This is a fine instrument.
We believe this is a sanshin that should be passed down through generations, with the leather eventually being replaced.

Both front and back leather have been repaired.

Accessories include the pictured used Shurei-in hard case.
The hard case is old and is solely for packaging.
Shipping will be with bubble wrap only around the hard case.
