After purchasing it new from a specialty store, the teacher at the introductory lesson I attended checked it and confirmed that it can be played without any issues.
Regarding the part of the picks that touch the strings, I filed them down based on the teacher's advice: If you file them down, you'll be able to play firmly without slipping.

All accessories will be sent inside the case and in its pockets.
