Shamisen, Hosozai (thin neck), Condition issues (?)

This is a shamisen with thin strings.
It was purchased by a relative and is likely unused.

Although it was in a box, it has been left untouched for over several decades, so the condition is likely poor.
In fact, I believe it is in poor condition.

I am not an expert, so I do not know its current condition or brand.
In fact, I don't know anything about it.
