Description
This is an Onkyo (Osaka Onkyo) OS-195 vacuum tube radio.
This unit was manufactured in the early 1960s and has been stored away.
It is capable of receiving MW/AM and SW/shortwave broadcasts, as well as connecting to a phono. It powers on and can receive broadcasts.
However, it takes about 10 seconds to start up, and the tuning dial does not operate smoothly, preventing it from reaching the lower frequency range (it is presumed that this can be repaired by adjusting the internal wiring). The shortwave reception capability has been confirmed, but broadcasts have not been heard (this may be due to the dial or the radio wave conditions at home). Phono connection has not been tested.
The dimensions are: Width 34cm x Height 13cm x Depth 12cm.
The exterior has general scratches, dirt, dustiness, and minor scratches. There are also some cracks and chips (please refer to the images).
