This is a used Hansen low-pass filter, model FL-1000. When transmitting on HF, spurious emissions can occur, causing radio interference to nearby TVs and audio equipment. A low-pass filter removes these spurious emissions, resulting in a cleaner signal. This low-pass filter has an input power rating of 1KW PEP for frequencies below 30MHz.
