The wood around which the large snake is wrapped is made of Japanese paper.
It is attached to a base.
The large snake is not fixed, but simply wrapped around the wood, so it can be removed.
The head is made by creating a mold from clay, carefully layering Japanese paper, applying a solution of gofun, and then coloring it.
The body has a bamboo frame with Japanese paper applied.
The shape is secured with wire.
