The Android version is old (ver 8.0), and the initial setup can be a bit tricky.
This seems to be a common issue with other models as well, based on online information, and doesn't appear to be specific to this unit or Huawei.

The steps I took were minimal, as listed below, but might be a slight hurdle for beginners:
(1) Following online advice for Galaxy Tab, I completed the initial setup without connecting to the internet, then connected to the internet and set up my Google account afterward.
(2) Based on my past experience with Xperia (Android v8), I updated Google Play (Google Play Services) first.

I was able to use it without issues by following online guides, but it may not be recommended for everyone.

All functions have not been tested, but I primarily used it at home for watching videos like YouTube and did not experience any particular issues.
