Hida Sangyo - Japanese Style Wagon | Ryokan Furniture, Showa Retro, Pot Storage

A rare wooden *ozashiki* wagon from Hida Sangyo, a long-established furniture maker in Hida Takayama.
This piece of furniture, once commonly found in Japanese inns, was used to store teapots, tea sets, and snacks, and was often placed by the bedside.

Many may recall scenes from the movie Tora-san (Otoko wa Tsurai yo) where Tora-san stays at a Japanese inn.
This furniture embodies the thoughtful Japanese consideration of enjoying tea before bed or having hydration readily available during the night.

While these are now rarely seen except in hot spring inns, they are truly companions for daily life that can make your everyday living much more comfortable.

This item was purchased by the current owner's family and has been stored for a long time with very little use.
While there are minor scuffs and scratches due to age on the exterior, the inside of the drawers is very clean with almost no signs of use.
There are no noticeable odors.
