This is an ivory yellow awase (lined) kimono, purchased and tailored two years ago.

The color is a very pale shade, appearing whitish with hints of light yellow and pale lime.
The images where the yellow tones are not too strong and the overall image is not too dark are closest to the actual color.

Honke Nishiki weaving is extremely difficult. As can be seen from the fabric scraps, two to three layers of fabric (weave) overlap, creating a deep, subtle color that emerges softly as three colors intersect.

The threads used are from three types of precious wild silkworms: Ten-san, Muga-san, and Tussah silk. The soft texture, which seems to hold air, provides a unique feel.

I prefer kimonos and obi with a subtly sweet impression, and when seeking pale colors that blend well with my complexion, I end up collecting similar shades. Therefore, this one remains unworn.

No guard processing / Awase tailoring, cost approximately 280,000 yen including tax.
Stored in a paulownia chest after purchase, never worn.
